Mentoring Program

People who achieve great success in their careers often point to positive mentor relationships as a key factor. At the Harrington School of Communication and Media, you will have the opportunity to connect with top professionals through our mentoring program. The mentors in our program are industry leaders in television, public relations, journalism, finance, management consulting, health care, sports media, and film production–to name a few.

Depending on the location and schedule of your mentor, you may meet in person, by email, or by phone. You may even get to shadow them at their workplace. The experience will help you gain a deeper understanding about jobs and careers in communications and media and how to tap into your unique strengths and skills.

Interested?

The first step is to apply. Then you will be paired with a mentor based on your own academic and career interests. We will help you prepare for the mentoring program by defining what your goals are, making sure you understand your active role in the process and knowing what to expect.
