After 12 years in the events industry, Sarah DosSantos joined the Department of Communication Studies at URI in September 2022 as a part time faculty member. She teaches undergraduate courses in Public Speaking, and Communication Studies.
Before embarking on her teaching career, she has spent over 12 years in the sales, hospitality, and events industry. She has worked at the Omni Providence Hotel since 2012, in many different roles in sales and catering. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Public Relations and Communication Studies in 2009 at URI. She then went on to receive her MBA in Hospitality and Event Leadership from Johnson and Wales University in 2012.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband Daniel, and their two children, Violet and Cole. As well as enjoying traveling, cooking, going to the beach and using her Peloton bike. Sarah looks forward to helping teach undergraduate students, in order to give them the same education she feels was a vital asset to her career thanks in part to the Communication Studies department at URI.
