Sarah DosSantos

Biography

After 12 years in the events industry, Sarah DosSantos joined the Department of Communication Studies at URI in September 2022 as a part-time faculty member.  She teaches undergraduate courses in Public Speaking and Communication Studies.

Before embarking on her teaching career, she has spent over 12 years in the sales, hospitality, and events industry. She works in the events industry as an event and conference consultant.  Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Public Relations and Communication Studies in 2009 at URI. She then went on to receive her MBA in Hospitality and Event Leadership from Johnson and Wales University in 2012. 

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel, and their two children, Violet and Cole. As well as enjoying traveling, cooking, going to the beach and using her Peloton bike. Sarah looks forward to helping teach undergraduate students in order to give them the same education she feels was a vital asset to her career, thanks in part to the Communication Studies department at URI.
