Nick Coit

Biography

Nick Coit joined the Harrington School as a part-time faculty member in Fall 2022. He is the Sports Director at WLNE-TV ABC6 in Providence, serving in that role since August 2017. Coit has been in the sports media industry for over a decade, beginning his career as a freelance sports producer at Boston 25 News. He first went on the air at WABI TV5 (the CBS affiliate) in Bangor, ME in 2011. Coit moved closer to home and joined the team at WLNE-TV as a sports anchor/reporter in 2014, where he has worked full-time ever since. A four-time NSMA Rhode Island Sportscaster of the Year, Coit has been fortunate enough to cover four Super Bowls, a World Series, Stanley Cup Final, NBA Finals and various NCAA tournaments with ABC6. Along with his full-time job, he also co-hosts “Cordischi & Coit” Saturday mornings on sports radio 103.7 FM (the local WEEI affiliate) and serves in various roles as a broadcaster for Brown University Athletics.

Coit is a native of Plymouth, MA and a 2007 graduate of Plymouth North High School. He earned a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Emerson College in 2011.
