Biography

Nicholas Corsano is a director, director of photography, gaffer, video installation artist, and educator working out of Boston, MA and New York, NY. 

Raised in Monroe, CT, Corsano attended Southern Connecticut State University, graduating with a B.S. in Communications and Video Production and a minor in Film Studies. He then moved to Boston to complete his MFA in Media Art at Emerson College. 

Corsano’s most recent creative work focuses on video art and video sculpture, specifically exploring miniature environments and the evolution of screening modalities. His work as a director of photography is focused on independent narratives and commercial projects. 

As a Lecturer at the University of Rhode Island, Corsano works to balance the technology and creativity in and out of the classroom. He has taught courses including Introduction to Studio Television, Introduction to Film, Introduction to Cinematography, Advanced Cinematography, and Commercial Production.
