Biography
Mary Ann Gallo is an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Communication Studies, where she teaches Communication Fundamentals, Public Speaking, and Public Relations Strategies since 2014. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a concentration in Television and Radio and a Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University.
Prior to teaching, Mary Ann worked as a Chyron Operator and Commercial Producer at WPRI TV Channel 12 and later as a Public Relations Specialist at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. In addition, she has worked at radio stations and as a freelance writer for several years. She co-authored a grant with her husband and served as production coordinator for a documentary that aired on the public television network.
In addition to teaching at URI, Mary Ann teaches at other area colleges and universities in the area of English Composition.
