Lori Merolla

Biography

Lori Merolla has been with Fidelity Investments for 12 years, where she has served in a variety of communications positions. Currently, she is Vice President at Fidelity Institutional, where she is responsible for the strategic development and execution of internal and executive communications. Lori joined Fidelity in 1998 as the Communications Manager for the Smithfield site, where she was responsible for planning and implementing site-wide communication strategies, as well as community and employee events.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Lori was the Marketing and Communications Director for the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, where she was responsible for all internal and external communications including public relations activities, collateral materials, executive speech writing, training videos, and the production of a local cable television program. For 10 years, she was a part-time instructor in the Communications Department of the University of Rhode Island, where she taught a variety of courses, including Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Persuasion.

Lori serves on the Advisory Council for the University of Rhode Island’s College of Arts and Sciences, and on the Board for the Providence Performing Arts Centers. She was a member of the 2005 Leadership Rhode Island class. She holds a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from the University of Rhode Island.
