Jill Long

Biography

Jill Long has been teaching at URI since 2002. She has taught courses in management, international business and communication. She currently teaches Business Communication, a writing course designed for students in the College of Business Administration.

Before embarking on her teaching career, she spent almost 20 years in sales and marketing. She worked for consumer packaged goods companies as well as in technology sales. In 1999, she turned this experience into a start-up company she founded with her husband. The company, MarketModels, was named the fastest growing company in Rhode Island and was on the top 10 list for 3 years. After selling the company, she returned to URI as an adjunct instructor.

Jill is an avid traveler and has worked overseas, teaching at the American University in Kosovo and volunteering at several summer universities in the former Yugoslavia.
