Carl Dimitri has taught literature and writing at multiple universities, including the University of Essex, Dean College, Johnson & Wales, and URI. Specifically, he has taught classes on the Victorian novel, modern Southern literature, British literature, U.S. literature and culture, modernist poetry, and modernism and the works of William Faulkner.

Dimitri has a doctorate in literature from the University of Essex. He has served as head speechwriter for the Mayor of Providence and as senior writer at Brown University’s Division of Advancement.
