Adam Freifeld

After 10 years at NBC Universal, Adam Freifeld reopened AMF Communications where he serves as a consultant for media companies for both internal and external communications. Currently, Freifeld’s roster of clients includes HBO Real Sports, IFC’s Brockmire, and an internal communications project for ESPN.

Freifeld served as Vice President, Corporate Communications for NBCUniversal from 2013-2017 where he oversaw all Internal Communications for the company including the myNBCU intranet, all corporate newsletters and executive communication, HR communication and corporate programs including myPerks and Sneak Peek. Freifeld assumed this role in June, 2013 after seven years with the NBC Sports Group, most recently as Vice President, Communications.

Freifeld joined NBC Sports in 2006 as a communications consultant for the newly-created, and was named Director, Communications in September 2007. As part of the NBC Sports Group, Freifeld was responsible for creating and overseeing communications strategy for properties including Sunday Night Football, the Beijing, Vancouver and London Olympics and Horse Racing’s Triple Crown, while also serving as the main point of contact for media inquiries about audience measurement and ratings information.

Prior to NBC Sports, Freifeld started and operated AMF Communications, where his clients included HBO Sports, Van Wagner Sports Group, NBC Sports and Ketchum, Inc. From 1999-2005, Freifeld served as Senior Publicist for ABC Sports where he created and implemented communications strategy for properties including Monday Night Football, PGA TOUR golf and horse racing. Prior to his career in communications, Freifeld was an agent for Athletes and Artists, representing on-air broadcast talent, and a consultant with Don Fitzpatrick Associates where he worked with stations, station groups and networks as they were hiring on-air talent.

Freifeld serves on the entertainment and media board for the United Jewish Appeal. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where he received a BA in Communication Studies, Freifeld lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and two daughters.
