Biography

Adam Wiener is at the forefront of media evolution, with a career spanning print, radio, broadcast television, digital and streaming. Adam is the founder of Continuous Media LLC, advising companies (large and small, public and private) on media convergence strategy, operations and P/L management with a strong focus on ways to bring new streaming products to market.

Previously, Adam led all aspects of streaming/digital for the owned-and-operated CBS Television Stations. Considered ahead of its time, Adam conceived of, launched and operated CBSN Local (now CBS News Local): 24/7 news streams across major US markets available for free (ad supported) on connected televisions and online. The National Association of Broadcasters recognized his work in transforming a traditional media company into a future-focused, streaming powerhouse by naming him the 2021 recipient of the NAB Digital Leadership Award. Adam has also held executive positions at NBCUniversal and Dow Jones/IAC. He began his career in the newsrooms and control rooms of CBS News and helped launch CBSNews.com, becoming (at the time) the youngest Executive Producer in CBS News’ history.  Adam received a BA in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island in 1987. In 2016 he was the recipient of the College of Arts and Science Distinguished Achievement Award and inducted into the URI Hall of Fame.
