#Harrington2017 Graduation!

This year the Harrington School graduated nearly 450 students in undergraduate and graduate programs and more than 50% of them landed a full-time position prior to graduation day.

This year was particularly important because both the undergraduate and graduate commencement speakers were part of the Harrington School Community. Vladimir Duthiers ’91, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning CBS News Correspondent was the undergraduate commencement speaker and an honorary degree recipient. He is also a member of the Harrington School’s Executive Advisory Board.

Thomas Farragher ’77, graduated from our Journalism program and is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist with the Boston Globe and the leader of the infamous “Spotlight Team.” He was the commencement speaker for the Graduate School graduation ceremony and also received an honorary degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Last but not least, our student, Colin Rumbel, was the student commencement speaker, and, wow, are we proud of him and the speech he delivered!
