Internships

Internships

Participating in an internship is a great way to turn classroom learning into practical experience. While engaged in the supportive environment of an internship you can test career goals, enhance professional skills, develop self-reliance, self-esteem, and responsibility. Furthermore, internships encourage networking with professionals and will provide increased marketability for employment after graduation.

Writing & Rhetoric majors, if they meet the criteria outlined below, can enroll in ITR 302/304 and upon successful completion, receive credit for WRT 484 (with a curriculum modification signed by the department chair).

To learn everything you need to know about earning academic credit for Internships, please see our Getting an Internship page. Also, visit the Center for Career & Experiential Education website and click on “Internships.”
