Nancy Burns-Fusaro

Biography

Nancy Burns-Fusaro has been teaching in the Communication Studies department since 2001, when she was a graduate student at URI, working on her Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies, which she received in 2003. She is a staff writer for the Westerly Sun newspaper, southern Rhode Island’s only daily newspaper, where she is also a columnist, and the arts, culture and entertainment writer. She has taught courses in Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication (both online and face-to-face) and Communication Fundamentals.

When not teaching, writing, reading or swimming, she and her husband spend time with their family (three sons, their partners and six grandsons)… usually at the seashore.
