Public Relations/Marketing Intern

The intern will assist in promoting the Harrington School’s events, activities, conferences, workshops, and faculty work on print and in the online press, social networks, and relevant media. In addition the intern will help with other PublicRelations activities related to the Harrington School. The job demands strong oral and written communication skills, graphic design experience, and the ability to work well independently in a fast paced environment. The intern will demonstrate a deep understanding and working knowledge of online marketing. The internship will be based in the Harrington School Director’s suite in Davis Hall first floor. For the right individual, there is an option to continue as a paid staff member during the summer and through the fall semester.

Special Event Intern

The intern will support the planning and production of Harrington School’s events, activities, conferences, and workshops on the University’s Kingston and Providence campuses and in the surrounding communities. In addition the intern will assist with the pre-event organization and logistics such as online registration, catering, hotels, associatedvendors, transportation arrangement and other duties as needed.
The intern will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. The position requires event management experience and the ability to work well collaboratively in a fast paced environment. A driver’s license and the availability to work on occasion in the evening are necessary. The internship will be based in the Harrington School Director’s suite in Davis Hall first floor. For the right individual, there may be an option to continue as a paid staff member during the summer and through the fall semester.
