The Harrington Rangers, Tamisha Francois, Julianna Kurucz, and Matt Sirois, delivered 333 donated items to the Domestic Violence Resource Center. The Domestic Violence Resource Center houses victims who have left their abusive partner and are in need of refuge. Tamisha Francois organized the drive after Carolyn Soares, the Office Manager of the center, expressed their need for toiletry items.

After hearing about the Harrington Rangers’ charity efforts, Professor Tracy Proulx encouraged her students in the COM 100 and COM 322 classes to donate to the drive. The generous students, as well as faculty members, parish members in the community, and resident students donated hundreds of items. The success of this drive is due to a supportive and generous community who acknowledges that domestic violence is a pertinent problem affecting 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men.
