Study Global Communication in Austria This Summer

Spend 3 weeks at the “Sound of Music” mansion

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! URI Harrington School is collaborating with the University of Maryland and Emerson College in this unique global communication program, where 60 students from 12 countries participate in an immersive experiential learning program, at the “Sound of Music” mansion, which is now home to the Salzburg Global Seminars.

Earn 6 Credits Studying Global Communication

Spend this summer living and studying at the mansion where the “Sound of Music” was filmed, in the heart of historic Salzburg, Austria. URI students can participate in the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change, a unique 3-week summer program on media literacy and freedom of expression. Over 60 students and a dozen faculty from five continents work in international teams to explore how global media cover issues of critical important to the world today.
