Bennett Koffa ’15 (GRADUATION YEAR NEEDS VERIFICATION), Communication

Growing up, Bennett Koffa was drawn to pop culture as a way of bringing together people of diverse backgrounds. At URI, he created his multi-platform digital blog and radio show, BennettKnows, that at one point received as many as 21,000 views in a single day. While many of the blog’s topics are lighthearted and fun, it also explores serious issues such as white appropriation of black hip-hop culture. At the Harrington School School of Communication and Media, the communication studies major found the resources he needed to explore his passions and move closer to his dreams. Now he works at a broadcast media company in Seattle, and no matter where his journey takes him next, he will be on the cutting edge.
