Adam is an accomplished teacher, speaker, researcher, and administrator with 17 years of excellence in higher education, including 11 years as the director of three, interdisciplinary, academic programs. He has a fervent commitment to communication education, coupled with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and vision, and extensive experience in academic program management and development, as well as alumni relations, fundraising, and donor discovery, cultivation, and stewardship.
Currently, Adam is serving as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college at the University of Rhode Island, and Director of the Harrington School of Communication and Media. The Harrington School has 1450 students, 63 full-time faculty, and nine administrative and technical support staff in undergraduate and graduate programs in Communication Studies, Digital Media, Film/Media, Journalism, Library and Information Studies, Public Relations, and Writing & Rhetoric. Through an interdisciplinary approach to scholarship and teaching and a passion for experiential learning, the Harrington School is a global leader in communication and media research and education.
