Adam David Roth Bio

Adam is a well-seasoned teacher, speaker, researcher, and administrator with 15 years of excellence in higher education, including 10 years as the director of three, large, interdisciplinary, academic programs. Currently he is serving a third year as Interim Director of the Harrington School of Communication and Media at the University of Rhode Island, with 1600 students and 62 full-time faculty in undergraduate and graduate programs in Communication Studies, Public Relations, Film/Media, Journalism, Writing & Rhetoric, and Library and Information Studies. Through an interdisciplinary approach to scholarship and teaching and a passion for experiential learning, the Harrington School is a global leader in communication and media research and education.
